Winter Wonderland in March, 2013!
This morning I woke up to a white world outside…Everything was covered with snow giving the feeling of peace and quiet.  There was no sound of the birds, no deer to be seen in the woods, the squirrels thought better not to frolic in the snow since the acorns were further down in the ground…they turned over and went back to sleep….I too slipped under my covers and thought about today….
But going over the beauty that was outside the windows…..I got up, took my camera and for a stroll. Here is what I saw…..
Thank you. Those pictures are so beautiful. I am not a fan of winter; but when I looked outside early this morning I just had to take a picture and send to my sister in KY.
Hi Judith….It truly was beautiful this morning….I am happy you too did a stroll to take a memorable picture and shared it with you sister in KY…..
Hugs to you!
O so lovely! You inspire me to go stroll in our woods all ladened witha fresh snow, too, until the wind took its turn to blow it horizontally! The snow melting into clear beads on the leafless branches outside my office sparkle like diamonds.; and the daffodil greens keep their stances tall as the snow challenges their right to appear so early. But alas! it means the daffs when they do blow will be around longer. How lucky we are to have the change of seasons! Best,BarbieP.S. How far are you from Laurel, MD? – where I’ll be in mid May for a skating competition. Date: Mon, 25 Mar 2013 18:01:32 +0000 To: woodenshu@msn.com
Hi Barbara….so very nice to hear from you….it is afternoon here now and all the snow is off the trees as well…and our driveway is starting to melt and dry…But, it was really very beautiful this morning…the pictures do not do it justice…it was much more beautiful then what I could capture with the camera….
Laurel, MD is about an hour south of us…Mid May we will be in NY at the Wine and Food-BGA meeting……when exactly is your skating competition?
We might be missing each other….again????????
My best to you…with a hug!
Maja, You have such a good eye for the beauty in things….a good heart and a good eye makes for God’s beauty being appreciated all the more! Thanks.

Hi Lili…..so happy that you stopped by….Sadly I will not be coming to the IACP conference again this year….
Actually, I have just gotten back from SF…less than two weeks ago….We attended a family wedding in Oakland….and saw friends whom we had not seen in years…and ended the trip in Paso Robles where my brother and family live…
It was a most wonderful trip…that is why I just could not turn around and go back for the conference…I have too many commitments here to catch up with….
I do miss seeing everyone…hugs to you….
Beautiful pics. Thanks so much. Love, Debbie
Hi Debbie…so good to see you on my blog….yes, we had Winter Wonderland here this morning…and I am glad I went took these photographs, because it is all gone by now…all the snow just about melted…thank goodness….
Wishing you and all your family a very Happy Easter…with a hug to you….
What beautiful pictures! I see you aren’t attending IACP this year, but I hope you will be next year. It would be wonderful to see you in person.
I hope Spring hurries and comes to your state very soon. Happy Easter!
Lots of Hugs. Leslie
Hi Leslie…thank you for your kind comment…I do love to take photographs…and am happy I went out this morning to take them, because all is gone now…hardly any snow is left…thank goodness…hope that by Easter Sunday we will be basking in sunshine and warm air…
Happy Easter to you…with a big hug!
Oh, Maria, it was good to see you last Tuesday at FGCMD, though brief.
I love your pictures. While I did not take a stroll that day, I also took some beautiful pictures before the snow melted so quickly. I am also NOT a fan of winter! Here’s to spring!
